Backflow Assessment, Replacement or Repair
Backflow occurs when there is a reversal of direction of the city or county water system from your home or office building into the public water system; thereby resulting in contamination of the water distribution system.
Backflow can occur because of either back-siphonage or backpressure. In the former, a reduction in water pressure in the distribution system can occur as results of water used for fire fighting or a water main break. This creates a suction effect, drawing potential contaminates into the distribution system. Backpressure is when pressure in a nonpotable system around your residence or office building, exceeds pressure in the city distribution system and can force water to reverse itself and again, contaminating the potable water system.
At American Well and Irrigation, we can either repair or replace your current system to ensure safety of the water supply.
